Brain Damage is a dub duo : bass-machines. It was created in 1999 and after a first maxiCD and a compilation produced by its own label (Bangarang), Brain Damagerealized 2 albums with the dub label from Paris, Hammerbass. In 2006, the duosigned at the label Jarring Effects and produced a third album : Spoken DubManifesto. In March 2008 they released their latest album, Short Cuts,exploring more (sub)genres and boundaries than ever. One gradually passes froma folk psychedelic 'floydien', with a kind of electro-techno minimal,via an enigmatic trip hop, without forgetting the digital dub which contributedto make the reputation of the duo at the time of the first two albums.

LiveBrain Damage releases crude and sensory energy, or '...where sensationsbecome physical again, sub basses tangible and the fight against thestraightness of the machines merciless'.

Tcha-kFédérateur (fr)

Bretongroup which produces a dub which devastates the eardrums, Tcha K Federateurimposes its style in 2005 with the release of Plan-D. It imposes a style whichreturns a little to the sources of the French dub with the beginnings ofZenzile or High Tone, an energetic mixture of skank of the couple bass/drums.Tcha-K Fédérateur 2.0 will take us on board on their explosive, infernalmachine which our feet and our heads cannot resist.

Ok, thisone stays a bit of a mystery (not for us, of course). The only thing we cansay, is they are on the same (quality)label as Brain Damage, Jarring Effects,and they just realised a new album. Anyway not to be missed, that we canassure!

Yesindeed, the bxl-connection will be present again. They will provide you somenice dubby tunes in between the live bands and you can also expect some heavybass invasion for the after-party.
